In a controversy surrounding Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem’s coach, the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) adjudicator Senator Parzez Rashid declared the ban on coach Salman Butt as illegal.
The decision was issued under the chairmanship of Senator Pervaiz Rashid. The PSB adjudicator announced the ruling after hearing the arguments from both sides.
The Athletics Federation had imposed a ban on coach Salman Butt, which he later challenged. President of the Athletics Federation, Wajahat Hussain, appeared before the PSB adjudicators during the proceedings.
However, the Federation was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation regarding the ban on coach Salman Butt. The federal government had earlier taken notice of the Athletics Federation’s controversial decision.
