The nutritionists have outlined the health benefits of consuming a handful of pistachios each day.
According to details, pistachios are rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, which help to reduce blood cholesterol levels. They also contain vitamins A and E, which contribute to skin health and support the immune system. In addition, they aid in improving vision.
Magnesium found in pistachios assists in alleviating stress and tension and helps to regulate blood pressure.
Pistachios are a good source of protein, making them suitable for individuals with low body mass. They also provide carbohydrates, amino acids, fats and fibre. Furthermore, they are rich in essential minerals, including phosphorus, potassium, calcium, iron, zinc, copper and sodium, along with key vitamins such as B6, vitamin C and vitamin K.
However, the nutritionists advised moderate consumption due to the high calorie content of pistachios. Excessive intake is not recommended, particularly for individuals with pancreatic disorders, who are advised to avoid them entirely. Unsalted pistachios are preferable.
