Heavy vehicles will not be permitted on Raiwind Road between 7 am and 11 pm, according to details released on Thursday.
Traffic police officials confirmed that the restriction applies to the stretch between Thokar Niaz Baig and Raiwind. Heavy traffic will be diverted to Sundar Road, Manga Mandi, and Multan Road instead.
Access from Kahna Kacha to Defence Road will also remain closed to heavy vehicles.
The decision followed an increase in accidents on Raiwind Road. Additional personnel have been deployed under the supervision of circle officers to manage the situation.
