The Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) has produced an annual report on sales of cars, the numbers of which will undoubtedly surprise you. The recent inflation in Pakistan has also driven up the cost of cars.
Alto
As per the PAMA data, the "Suzuki Alto" was the most sold vehicle between June 2023 and May 2024. The firm sold 31,531 units of its vehicle, indicating that the majority of Pakistanis purchased it and enjoyed it.
Honda Civic and City
Honda Civic and City are also very popular in the market and the company sold a total of 10,519 units last year. Defiantly the City units are sold more than Civic.
Toyota
According to PAMA data, Toyota sold 14,12 Corolla, Yaris, and Corolla Cross units last year, putting it in a strong competitive position with Honda in the car sales market. That indicates that each vehicle was sold in roughly 4670 units.
Suzuki Cults
Even though the Suzuki Cults was the second best-selling vehicle in 2022 after the Alto and Wagon R, it is interesting that Suzuki was still able to sell 3,352 units of their flagship vehicle during this inflationary period. This was mostly because of government taxation. Consequently, the business raised prices by 180%, which undoubtedly had a significant effect on sales.
