Indian actor Sunny Leone has reportedly completed filming for her upcoming horror-comedy Chudail, marking her entry into a supernatural role set against the backdrop of North India.
The 45-year-old actor recently wrapped her shooting schedule in Uttar Pradesh, where much of the film was reportedly filmed.
The movie is expected to blend horror, comedy, music and supernatural drama, with Leone taking on a character described as a spirit haunting the streets of Bulandshahr.
Sunny Leone to play vengeful spirit
According to Mid-day, Leone's character is not portrayed as an entirely evil witch.
A source quoted by the publication said the story gradually reveals that the character suffered a grave injustice during her lifetime, leading her to seek revenge after death.
The character is reportedly shown luring men while haunting the streets of Bulandshahr.
The film will also use extensive visual effects to depict Leone's transformation from a beautiful woman into a supernatural figure, including glowing eyes and reversed feet.
Mandana Karimi joins supernatural story
The horror-comedy will reportedly feature another supernatural force played by actor Mandana Karimi.
The clash between the two supernatural characters is expected to form part of the film's central storyline while maintaining the comedic elements associated with India's popular horror-comedy genre.
Chudail is reportedly scheduled to reach cinemas toward the end of September.
