The arrested sub-agents have revealed the alleged CNIC network for Afghan and the Bangladeshi nationals.
Important findings have emerged from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Counter-Terrorism Wing's inquiry into an alleged network that arranged Pakistani national identity cards for Afghan and Bangladeshi nationals.
Foreigners added to Nadra records of Pakistani families
They said foreigners were added to the Nadra records of Pakistani families before national identity cards were issued.
According to the inquiry, the main suspects allegedly secured the issue of identity cards with the collusion of Nadra officials. Each foreign national allegedly paid between Rs300,000 and Rs900,000 for a Pakistani national identity card.
The inquiry said that a large share of the money collected was allegedly divided between the main suspects and the officials accused of involvement.
Investigators said the network allegedly secured Pakistani national identity cards for between 40 and 45 foreign nationals.
The FIA Counter-Terrorism Wing arrested both sub-agents on the previous night. The case names the arrested suspects, the alleged main suspects and five foreign nationals.
