Nobel Prize winner and global activist Malala Yousafzai has expressed relief over the women, children, and everyone reunited with their families, and the temporary ceasefire in Israel’s war on Gaza.
In a post on her X account, Malala, however, said that tomorrow, the children of Gaza will wake up grieving loved ones, desperate for food and water. They will fear that their homes, streets, and schools will soon be under fire again, she added.
The activist urged the world to keep seeking a full ceasefire and humanitarian aid to the people of the war-torn strip of land.
“The needless suffering must end.”
Earlier this month, Malala had stressed that children and schools should never be targets, in reference to Israel's bombing of schools and hospitals, killing thousands of children since October 7.
"This isn’t a matter of opinion — it’s international law. I continue my call for a ceasefire," she posted on X.
She further demanded the Israeli government end these "indiscriminate attacks" that have cost thousands of innocent Palestinian children and families their lives.
