Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said on Sunday that the recent attacks in Iran were deeply regrettable and caused sincere sorrow.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Pakistan has supported Iran by all possible diplomatic and moral means, Khawaja Asif added. Pakistan also condemned the attacks on Iran at the United Nations, he said. He appealed to Pakistan’s religious groups and the public to exercise restraint.'
Asif warned that turning protests into violence or taking the law into one’s own hands would benefit the enemy.
He stressed that it is the responsibility of all to control emotions. Protests should remain peaceful to avoid unrest or damage within the country.
National unity and stability are the true sources of Pakistan’s strength at this time, he said.
