Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has taken notice of the increase in prices of kite-flying equipment in Lahore on the occasion of Basant.
A meeting was held in the Punjab Home Department under the chairmanship of Punjab Housing Minister Bilal Yasin, during which Secretary Home Dr Ahmed Javed Qazi briefed on safe Basant measures. Bilal Yasin said the chief minister had taken notice of the increase in prices of kite-flying equipment.
Bilal Yasin said the government had allowed the manufacture of kite-flying equipment in Kasur, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad and Multan. The available equipment in all four districts would reach Lahore within one day. He added that the abundant availability of equipment would result in a clear reduction in prices, and every possible step was being taken to make Basant a “safe Basant”.
