The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced a public holiday across the province on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day.
According to a notification issued by the KP's additional chief secretary (General), a one-minute silence will be observed at 10:00am on February 5 in solidarity with the Kashmiri people. Programmes expressing solidarity with the oppressed people of Kashmir will also be organised throughout the province.
All government offices under the administrative control of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, government corporations, as well as all public and semi-public educational institutions, will remain closed on the said date.

Earlier, the federal government had also announced a nationwide public holiday on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day. In a notification, the federal government stated that February 5, 2026 would be observed as a public holiday across the country.
Kashmir Solidarity Day is observed annually in Pakistan to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people. On this day, special events, seminars, rallies and prayer gatherings are held nationwide to reaffirm support for the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
