Islamic welfare state
The former senator said his party aims to transform Pakistan into an Islamic welfare state. He emphasised that Islam, democracy and constitutional rule are not contradictory, but complementary when implemented honestly.
Mushtaq Ahmed alleged that a particular section is preventing the country from being shaped according to the Constitution of Pakistan. He said such obstruction has undermined democratic values and delayed national progress.
People’s right to rule
He said the Pakistan Rights Movement envisions a Pakistan where the people’s right to rule is never violated. According to him, true democracy can only thrive when public mandate is respected without interference.
Outlining social priorities, Mushtaq Ahmed said his party wants a Pakistan with accessible education, improved healthcare and economic prosperity. He added that social justice and equal opportunities must be central to state policy.
Demand for free and prompt justice
The former senator called for free and speedy justice as a cornerstone of an Islamic, democratic welfare state. He said justice delayed or denied weakens public trust in institutions and fuels inequality.
Concluding his announcement, Mushtaq Ahmed said the Pakistan Rights Movement is starting its journey with a reform agenda. He expressed hope that the party would unite citizens seeking constitutionalism, justice and national dignity.
