Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke by telephone on Saturday with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the two leaders discussed the latest situation in the region in detail. Ishaq Dar stressed the need to avoid actions that could increase tensions.

He said all parties in the region should refrain from any provocative steps and that the resolution of disputes through dialogue and diplomacy remains essential for regional peace and stability.
The statement said the two foreign ministers also agreed to maintain close contact and cooperation to promote regional peace.
