Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has vowed to ensure the meritocracy in the party's ticket distribution for the elections in Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Addressing the party officials, the three-time prime minister said, “We are looking to distribute the party tickets on merit. Every candidate’s reservation will be addressed. All of the party members will have to work together to ensure the victories of the candidates.”
The PML-N president said, “The funds should be allocated to both of the provinces according to their respective rights. Even if the centre gives money, the funds are not spent in the right way. It is important to spent the funds in the right way as much as the allocation.”
Nawaz maintained: “Even NFC award remains behind as compared to the investment that we have made in the past. We want to see the PML-N emerging victorious from Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).”
The PML-N president said that will ask Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to ensure the allocation of the funds for AJK and GB in line with the NFC Award.
