In a meeting between the Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto, regional security and bilateral defence relations were discussed.
Both leaders expressed their commitment to further strengthening the robust defence ties between the armed forces of Pakistan and Indonesia.
According to ISPR, the meeting held in Islamabad focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security, and the enhancement of defence cooperation.
The President of Indonesia praised the professional capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces and stated that Pakistan plays an important role in promoting peace and stability in the region.
Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir said that Pakistan values its longstanding defence relations with Indonesia and is determined to further enhance cooperation in the fields of training, counter-terrorism, and capacity building.
