President Asif Ali Zardari and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman met in Islamabad to exchange views on the constitutional amendment.
According to details, the JUI-F chief called on the president, and the two discussed the country’s political landscape. Sources said that President Asif Ali Zardari has assured cooperation to build consensus on the constitutional amendment.
The sources pertaining to the development said that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman apprised the president of his concerns regarding the 27th amendment.
On this occasion, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari was also present.

Earlier, it was reported that the matter of the Senate’s approval of the 27th amendment has taken a new turn as Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has invited senators from the allied parties.

Sources divulged on Saturday, the senators belonging to the government and its coalition partners have received invitations from the premier. The sources privy to the development further said that PM Shehbaz will meet with the government and allied senators tomorrow evening at 6:30 pm.
