The price of gold in Pakistan and globally witnessed a massive decrease on Tuesday, with the federal budget for the upcoming fiscal year set to be announced.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola saw a drop of Rs6,100 on Tuesday to reach Rs352,300. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs5,230, taking it to Rs302,040.

The global gold market also witnessed a big change, with the price of gold per ounce falling by $61 to reach $3,339.
The silver prices in Pakistan, however, remained stable, with the price of a tola of 24-karat silver staying Rs3,745, and the price for 10 grams of silver maintained at Rs3,210.
