The Lahore Bar Association (LBA) announced a complete strike in the subordinate courts on Thursday over the issue of lodging an allegedly false case under terrorism provisions against its secretary.
Lahore Bar Association President Rana Intizar said a false FIR was filed against thee association's secretary, Umar Waqas Warraich.
Intizar said that lawsuits against lawyers are a deliberate conspiracy against the community.
The association urged the authorities that the case registered against its secretary be dismissed immediately.
The Islampura police station has registered a case of taunting and threatening police officials against Warrraich.
