Kuwait has congratulated Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye on their Joint Defence Agreement signed in Makkah, highlighting growing cooperation among the three countries.
The development came during a telephone conversation between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
During the call, the two foreign ministers discussed Pakistan-Kuwait relations and the situation in occupied East Jerusalem, along with other matters of mutual interest.
The Kuwaiti foreign minister conveyed his congratulations to Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye on the joint defence agreement, according to the report.
The agreement is being viewed as an important development in defence and strategic cooperation among the three countries.
Investment and cooperation discussed
The two sides also reviewed matters related to Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah’s recent visit to Pakistan.
Discussions focused on further advancing cooperation in important sectors, particularly investment and bilateral collaboration, with both sides expressing interest in strengthening economic ties.
Dar and his Kuwaiti counterpart agreed to maintain close contact and further strengthen relations between Pakistan and Kuwait.
The conversation underscored the two countries’ continued commitment to expanding cooperation across various areas of mutual interest.
