Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Secretary General Nayyar Bukhari claimed on Sunday that the PML-N government will not remain in power if the PPP withdraws its support.
Speaking on Samaa TV programme 'Do Tok with Kiran Naz', Bukhari said the main dispute between the PML-N and PPP was the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) election.
He said the two parties established contact after the election in the Mirpur Division and held three or four meetings. Some matters were settled, but the PML-N withdrew at the last moment.
Bukhari said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari had made it clear that the dispute was a battle between Lahore and Islamabad. If the PPP withdrew its support, he said, the PML-N government would not remain in power.
'PML-N decisions rest with Nawaz and Shehbaz, not Sanaullah'
He questioned PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah’s confidence, saying that decisions in the PML-N would be taken by Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, not by Sanaullah.
Bukhari said the PPP was not bound to remain silent if the election was stolen. He said the party was supporting the government with a 'heavy heart'.
He added that a government formed through alleged 'rigging' in Azad Jammu and Kashmir would not be strong.
Bukhari also questioned whether PML-N ministers wanted to end the government by making such statements.
