Security forces have killed five terrorists, including a key terrorist leader, during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Panjgur district.
The operation was carried out under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna III in the Sarkini, Chidagi area of Panjgur, where security forces targeted terrorists based on intelligence about their presence.
According to security sources, five terrorists were killed during the successful intelligence-based operation, including Wazir Walid Jamal, described as a key terrorist leader.
Security forces also recovered four motorcycles, machine guns, heavy weapons and ammunition from the slain terrorists.
The operation was conducted as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorist networks operating in Balochistan and prevent attacks against civilians and security personnel.
Terrorists involved in criminal activities
Security sources said the killed terrorists were involved not only in terrorist activities but also in looting, extortion and kidnapping of traders and local citizens.
Their activities had reportedly targeted members of the local community, including traders, further contributing to insecurity in the area.

The recovery of heavy weapons and ammunition highlights the operational capability of the group targeted in the Panjgur operation.
Following the successful operation, a clearance operation is underway in the area to locate and eliminate any other terrorists who may still be present, according to security sources.
Mohsin Naqvi praises security forces
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for carrying out the successful intelligence-based operation in Panjgur.
In a statement, Naqvi commended the professionalism of the security forces for killing five terrorists, including the group's key leader, Wazir Walid Jamal.
He said the security forces had successfully foiled the nefarious designs of foreign-backed elements, adding that the brave soldiers of the country are the pride of the nation.
Naqvi said the country's security forces are continuing efforts to eliminate terrorists from Balochistan. He added that the entire nation remains united against terrorism and stands firmly with the security forces in their fight against militant groups.
