Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Muzaffarabad, where he laid flowers at the memorial of martyrs of Indian occupied Kashmir and paid rich tribute to their unparalleled bravery and selfless sacrifices in the freedom struggle.
During his visit, the Field Marshal also met with dignitaries and former military personnel, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering political, moral, and diplomatic support for the people of occupied Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, the field marshal said that Indian atrocities have failed to suppress the legitimate struggle and aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He added that ongoing human rights violations and ideologically-driven abuses by India cannot weaken the spirit of Kashmiris.
Field Marshal Munir assured that Pakistan will continue to steadfastly support the Kashmir issue on all international forums until a just resolution is achieved. He emphasized that Kashmir will soon witness the dawn of freedom according to the aspirations of its people.
The Army Chief also commended the dedication, high morale, professional skills, and combat readiness of officers and troops deployed in Kashmir, noting that they continue to perform their duties excellently despite challenging operational conditions.
He highlighted the importance of maintaining high-level operational readiness to effectively counter any enemy action and stressed the need for vigilance and coordinated harmony across all sectors.
Field Marshal Munir concluded by reaffirming Pakistan’s complete solidarity with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters, stating that the country remains committed to the Kashmiri cause until a fair and lasting solution is achieved.
