Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Quetta today to review the prevailing security situation and ongoing internal security operations.
During the visit, the Field Marshal received a comprehensive briefing on recent terrorist attacks orchestrated by Indian-backed, internationally-designated terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan.
He was also briefed on the prompt, aggressive response of security forces that prevented any compromise to peace, stability, and development in Balochistan. Measures to further strengthen the writ of the state and safeguard the populace and critical infrastructure were also discussed.
Field Marshal Munir emphasized that no terrorist or facilitator would be spared, and they would be dealt with strictly under the law. He praised the professionalism, valour, and sacrifices of officers and troops of all law enforcement agencies in thwarting anti-Pakistan designs and maintaining law and order.
Later, the CDF, accompanied by the Chief Minister of Balochistan, visited the Combined Military Hospital in Quetta, where he met injured personnel from the Army, FC Balochistan, and Police.
He lauded their high morale and commended their bravery and steadfastness in defending the nation against foreign-sponsored terrorism.
Upon arrival in Quetta, Field Marshal was received by the Commander Quetta Corps.
