Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government spokesperson Shafi Jan said that terrorism in the province has affected the whole of Pakistan, adding that if the federal government wants to launch an operation, it must take the provincial government into confidence.
Speaking on Samaa TV programme 'Nadeem Malik Live', Shafi Jan said that Chief Minister Sohail Afridi had raised the issue of an operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa before the prime minister. He said the federal government, provincial governments and security forces should sit together and that all stakeholders must be taken into confidence.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader said that politics and all other matters exist only if Pakistan exists. He said the party has demanded from day one that everyone should sit together, adding that unity is essential to face external challenges. He said PTI would remain at the forefront in any challenge and that whenever Pakistan is discussed, PTI would stand two steps ahead.
He said everyone knows that activities are taking place through Indian funding and that strict action should be taken against it. He said the military establishment and all political parties should unite on the single point of Pakistan, adding that the government should move forward because nothing is greater than Pakistan.
