A case of domestic violence has come to light in Multan, where a husband allegedly assaulted his wife after becoming angry over her checking his WhatsApp account, police officials confirmed.
According to police, the incident occurred in the Qadirabad area of Multan. The husband reportedly became enraged when his wife checked his WhatsApp messages and allegedly subjected her to violent physical assault.
Police officials said the situation escalated quickly, resulting in serious injuries to the woman.
Woman shifted to hospital
As a result of the assault, the woman sustained severe injuries and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Doctors described her condition as serious, according to police sources.
Following the incident, the woman approached the Women’s Police Station in Multan. On her request, police registered a formal case against the accused husband.
Authorities said legal action has been initiated and further investigation into the incident is underway.
Police officials stated that violence against women will not be tolerated and assured that the case will be pursued in accordance with the law. They urged victims of domestic abuse to come forward and seek legal protection.
