Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir said during a visit to Bahawalpur Garrison that the Pakistan Armed Forces are rapidly embracing modern technology and innovation to meet evolving battlefield challenges.
He emphasized the importance of adaptability, local preparedness, and indigenization in future warfare.
During his visit, Field Marshal Munir was briefed on operational, training, and administrative aspects of the Corps, with a special focus on multi-domain warfare.
He witnessed the “Steadfast Resolve” field exercise at Khairpur Tamewali, which integrated advanced technologies such as unmanned aerial systems (drones), electronic warfare assets, surveillance tools, and modern command-and-control mechanisms.

Operational preparedness

He highlighted that innovation, indigenization, and adaptability are now central to Pakistan’s defense strategy as the military undergoes major transformation across multiple domains.
In addition to operational briefings, the COAS & CDF inaugurated the ROHI eSkills Learning Hub (STP), aimed at promoting digital skills and learning opportunities for students, particularly from Southern Punjab.
He also inaugurated the APS Abbasia Campus, reinforcing the Army’s commitment to quality education and character building.
