The stranded passengers in snow-affected areas are being provided with all possible assistance, on the instructions of Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan.
According to details surfaced on Tuesday, the National Highway Authority (NHA) has remained fully active in snow-affected regions across Balochistan and the upper parts of the country to ensure smooth traffic flow. Under its Service and Protection mission, the NHA has distributed hot meals and tea to passengers stranded due to snowfall.
According to the NHA, all major highways under its jurisdiction are currently clear and operational. Roads circulating on social media fall under the administrative control of the respective provincial governments.
NHA field teams are not only clearing highways but are also assisting citizens in distress. Traffic on key routes, including the Islamabad-Murree Dual Carriageway, remains fully operational, while snow-clearance operations continue on selected sections affected by ongoing snowfall.
Passengers are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and ensure the use of snow grip chains when travelling in snow-bound areas.
