The chief executive officer of KIPS Education System who was abducted in Lahore has been released, police confirmed on Friday.
According to authorities, Abid Wazir Khan was kidnapped from the Johar Town area. A case was registered on the complaint of his brother soon after the incident. The abductors later released him, and he has since returned home safely.
Police said the victim’s vehicle has not been recovered yet. Investigators are examining CCTV footage and other available evidence to identify and trace the suspects involved in the abduction.
Officials added that Abid Wazir Khan’s statement will be recorded shortly to determine the exact circumstances of the incident and to assist further investigation.
