The chief executive officer of KIPS Education System, Abid Wazir Khan, was reportedly abducted from Lahore’s Johar Town area, prompting the police to register a case and begin an investigation.
A First Information Report was lodged on the complaint of his brother, Tahir Wazir Khan, who serves as director of finance at the KIPS corporate office.
According to the complaint, Abid Wazir Khan left his office at around 6:00pm and was driving when the incident occurred.
During the journey, he placed a phone call to a staff member. While the call was ongoing, the staff member allegedly heard a commotion, including someone banging on the car window and shouting that Abid Khan had hit their vehicle.
The call ended suddenly, and Abid Wazir Khan’s mobile phone was switched off shortly afterward. His brother has expressed serious concern that he may have been abducted by unknown individuals and warned that his life could be at risk.
Police have confirmed that they are investigating the matter and are working to trace Abid Wazir Khan’s whereabouts. KIPS Education System has so far not issued any official statement regarding the incident.
