Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Jamia Ashrafia and met with the current Mohatem-e-Aala, Maulana Qari Arshad Ubaid, to express condolences over the passing of Maulana Fazlur Rehmani Ashrafi.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Mohatem-e-Aala, the late Maulana’s sons, and the Nazim-e-Aala. The Prime Minister offered Fatiha and prayers for the departed soul.
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister said that Maulana Fazlur Rehmani Ashrafi’s services will always be remembered and valued. He recalled attending Friday prayers at Jamia Ashrafia with his father, Mian Sharif, for many years.
He further praised Jamia Ashrafia for its enduring role in uniting the Muslim community, calling it highly commendable.
Also accompanying the Prime Minister were National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Talha Barkhi.
