Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi said on Sunday that the performances of former captain Babar Azam and newly-appointed ODI captain Shaheen Shah Afridi are vital for the success of the national cricket team.
Taking to the social media, the former Pakistan captain hoped that both Babar and Shaheen will continue to perform as expected from them. He hailed the performance of the home side against the Proteas.
He extended his best wishes to the Green Shirts for the upcoming ODI series against South Africa, which will be captained by Shaheen.
It is pertinent to note that Pakistan have managed to draw a two-match Test series against South Africa and clinched a 2-1 series victory in the T20Is.
