The preliminary report of the exhumation and second post-mortem of young Karachi businessperson Mir Raza said his body bore gunshot and signs of violence.
According to the police surgeon office's report, Mir Raza’s grave was opened on the orders of Civil Judge Hamidullah. The preliminary second post-mortem report said Mir Raza was shot from behind. The bullet passed through his back and ribs before exiting through his chest.
According to the report, Mir Raza’s body was taken out of the grave at 11:50pm. The post-mortem started at 12 noon and was completed at 1:15pm. His body was reburied at 1:32pm after the examination.
The police surgeon report said Mir Raza was aged between 25 and 26. His body was in the final stage of decomposition, while the shroud was contaminated with decomposed fluid and soil.
The preliminary post-mortem report said that Mir Raza’s face was no longer identifiable and his tongue had decomposed inside his mouth.
The report also said that the gunshot marks were found on his feet. Blood stains were present on the lower part of his body, while a deep injury and wound were noted around the jaw.
The preliminary report said that Mir Raza’s ribs were broken and black marks were present on his body.
The police surgeon office's report has listed the exhumation as number 09/26, dated August 8, 2026. The case is linked to FIR No. 795/26 registered at Ferozabad police station.
