Pakistan opener Saim Ayub has achieved another milestone during the 2nd T20I against South Africa at the newly-revamped Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday.
According to details, Ayub, was struggling with the bat in the tri-nation series and Asia Cup, finally rose to the occasion for the Green Shirts. After, a humiliating defeat against the Proteas in the first match at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, the hosts made a strong comeback and trounced the visitors in no time by clinching a one-sided nine-wicket victory.
After the Pakistan bowlers mounted the pressure on South Africa and restricted them to 110 inside the 20 overs, Saim Ayub regained a form, with a brilliant 38-ball 71 innings.
Ayub notched his fifth fifty in the T20Is. But importantly, it was his first fifty in Pakistan.
The Pakistan opener has now amassed 271 in 15 matches.
It is pertinent to note that Pakistan will lock horns against South Africa in the third and final decisive match of the series.
