The Islamabad High Court (IHC) bench hearing the Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri degree case dissolved on Tuesday after Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro excused himself from the bench.
The two-member bench, comprising Chief Justice Sarfaraz Dogar and Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro, was set to hear the case today. However, the proceedings could not continue following Justice Soomro’s withdrawal.
Bar council’s application deferred
The court was also scheduled to hear a miscellaneous application filed by the Islamabad Bar Association, seeking to become a party in the case.
However, due to the breakup of the bench, the application — along with the main case concerning Justice Tariq Jahangiri’s degree — was adjourned without any proceedings.
