The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) said on Saturday that efforts were underway to restore the telecom services in all areas, including Buner, following the inclement weather that hit the parts of the northern areas.
According to details, the PTA officials have called on Federal Minister Amir Muqam and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan. The officials said that the PTA and other concerned telecommunication companies were working to restore the services in the flood-hit places.
The PTA spokesperson said that several cellular and fixed-line sites have been affected by the flash floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Moreover, the PTA spokesperson said that the communication links were essential for rescue and relief operations in the flood-hit areas.
