During Eid, chicken prices had remained under Rs400 per kilogram, but the recent uptrend underscores a growing disparity between supply and demand. With mutton and beef prices remaining relatively stable, chicken has become the preferred choice for many consumers, further straining supply chains.
Shopkeepers in Lahore report a notable decline in sales, as fluctuating prices create challenges in negotiations with poultry farm agents.
