The death toll from the deadly blast at the Khadija Al-Kubra Mosque in Tarlai has risen further as two more injured victims succumbed to their injuries, deepening the tragedy days after the attack.
Another injured person, Ali Naqi Bosan, who was hurt in the Tarlai mosque blast, passed away after undergoing treatment. He was initially brought to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and was later shifted to a private hospital by his family.
The 30-year-old remained under treatment for two days at the private hospital before he breathed his last. With his death, the number of martyrs from the blast has risen to 35, according to initial reports.
Father, son martyred in same blast
Ali Bosan’s father, Farman Ali Bosan, was also martyred in the same explosion at the Khadija Al-Kubra Mosque in Tarlai. Both father and son belonged to Ratodero in Sindh.
Ali Bosan was the nephew of Polio Eradication Program advisor Altaf Bosan. According to family sources, Ali Naqi Bosan will be laid to rest beside his father in Islamabad.
Polyclinic confirms another death
Separately, the spokesperson for Polyclinic Hospital confirmed the death of another injured victim, Syed Aqeel Abbas. He was brought to the Polyclinic Hospital immediately after the blast and underwent surgery.
Despite intensive treatment in the ICU, Syed Aqeel Abbas succumbed to his injuries on Monday. Following his death, his body was shifted from the Polyclinic to Imambargah Al-Sadiq in G-9.
