Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz slammed on Wednesday the Chief Minister Sohail Afridi-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, saying that the public demands good education.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the electric bus project in Rajanpur, CM Maryam said that when a question is asked to the KP CM, he replies that they have given awareness. The Punjab chief minister added that in response, Sohail Afridi says, “We gave you awareness.”
CM Maryam questioned: "Can awareness fill the stomach? Can it provide education, medicines, proper transport and employment?" The Punjab CM said: "The fake government takes away the rights and development of the people. The fake government is insensitive. Until the public asks questions from rulers, governments will remain asleep."
She said that development of under-developed areas is their priority. "It is alleged that all work is done in Lahore and central Punjab. Under-development is now about to end. Excellent travel facilities are now available at the public’s doorstep. The network of electric buses is being expanded across the entire province."
