The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has strongly criticized Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s recent speech, calling it ‘ridiculous’ and contrary to facts, and accusing him of presenting a narrative more suited to a social media content creator than reflective of ground realities.
In a statement, MQM-P said that Bilawal Bhutto could not conceal the incompetence and corruption of the Sindh government even through hundreds of presentations.
The party remarked that from a helicopter, sewage water may appear like a lake, but the reality on the ground is entirely different. It alleged that the corrupt Sindh government has pushed Karachi into the ranks of the world’s worst cities.
The statement further said that conditions related to basic infrastructure, clean drinking water, education, and healthcare in both urban and rural areas of Sindh remain dire. MQM-P accused the Pakistan Peoples Party of practicing politics based on misleading divisions and the deprivation of public rights.
Questioning the party’s democratic claims, MQM-P said that the founders of ethnic and dynastic politics have little moral authority to speak about democracy. The party urged the Sindh government to move beyond development claims and focus on genuine public welfare and improving the lives of citizens.
