Pakistan’s security forces conducted intelligence-based operations killing 11 Indian-backed terrorists in North Waziristan and Kurram districts, the military's media wing said on Saturday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), two separate intelligence-led operations were carried out to dismantle foreign-backed terrorist networks.
In North Waziristan, six terrorists affiliated with the Indian proxy group Fitna-ul-Kharaj were neutralized after security forces acted on credible intelligence. The operation involved a fierce exchange of fire, during which the terrorists’ hideouts were successfully targeted.
Simultaneously, a joint operation by police and security forces in Kurram district resulted in the elimination of five additional terrorists following a controlled engagement.
Weapons and ammunition recovered
ISPR reported that arms and ammunition were seized from the deceased terrorists, confirming their involvement in multiple acts of terrorism, including targeted attacks on security personnel and innocent civilians. These operations disrupted plans for further subversive activities in the region.
The Pakistan Army emphasized that clearance operations remain underway to remove any remaining foreign-sponsored terrorists from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These actions are part of the federally approved “Azm-e-Istihkam” strategy under the National Action Plan (NAP), demonstrating Pakistan’s continued commitment to regional stability.
Through sustained intelligence-driven operations, security forces aim to dismantle cross-border terrorist networks and prevent future threats to civilians, law enforcement, and national security.
