The Iranian Embassy has clarified the reasons behind the recent protests in Iran, stating that traders and shopkeepers demonstrated in response to a sudden increase in currency rates.
The embassy emphasized that the government acted swiftly, engaging in negotiations with protesters to resolve the situation peacefully.
According to the statement, the unrest was confined to a few small cities, and security forces successfully restored order.
The embassy also accused hostile foreign elements, including Israel and the United States, of attempting to exacerbate the situation through cyberspace, by supporting the demonstrations.
Some individuals detained during the protests reportedly admitted to financial links with foreign agencies. While internet services have been largely restored, speeds in certain areas remain temporarily affected.
The embassy affirmed that nationwide security and public order have been fully reestablished, with authorities continuing to monitor the situation closely.
