Senator Faisal Vawda said that if the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) holds a protest in Islamabad on 26 November, strict action will be taken.
Speaking on Samaa TV programme "Nadeem Malik Live", he added that a ban and the option of Governor’s Rule are under consideration if the PTI moves ahead with the demonstration.
Vawda said that nothing significant is expected to happen for PTI founder this year. He said that if the current political approach continues, the founder will face more difficulties.
He said that a group led by Shah Mahmood Qureshi holds no influence, though Qureshi is innocent in connection with the 9 May incidents. Vawda added that he regards Omar Sarfraz Cheema and Shibli Faraz as "good people".
The senator said that both Omar Sarfraz Cheema and Shibli Faraz should be released if they are put on trial.
