Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi on Saturday stressed the need for playing with the specialist fast bowler in the forthcoming match against India in the Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Expressing his thoughts on the Samaa TV programme “Zor Ka Jor”, Afridi said, "We have not seen any consistent performer for Pakistan from many series. I had a lot of expectations from Hasan Nawaz."
He lamented the performance of Saim Ayub, saying, "How much time Saim Ayub needed to adjust into the team, as he took 19 matches to notch his first fifty."
"We might have been ruled out of the team if we continued to perform like the current team," Afridi said.
Afridi has acknowledged the Indian batting prowess, saying, "Indian batters play the spinners way better."
