The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) geared up to contest against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in the political arena.
Sources divulged on Saturday that the PPP had decided to field its candidates against MQM contenders in the Central District Assembly seats.
In the upcoming general elections, the practical strategy is to challenge MQM-P's political stronghold by fielding PPP candidates.
The party is actively working to include various personalities from the central district within its ranks.
Sources have revealed that the decision has been made to include Saif Yar Khan from MQM Pakistan and Tauqeer Ahmed within the PPP fold.
Prominent political and business figures have recently held meetings with former president Asif Zardari.

Earlier, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari held key meetings separately on Saturday with party stalwarts Naveed Qamar and retired Lt Gen Abdul Qadir Baloch.
The former foreign minister and Naveed Qamar discussed the matter in line with Sindh’s political situation.
