Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) leader Syed Samsam Bukhari was appointed on Thursday as the party's senior vice president.

According to details, Bukhari called on Federal Privatization Minister Abdul Aleem Khan in Islamabad. During the meeting, both the leaders underscored the various matters. Meanwhile, Aleem Khan had extended his best wishes to Bukhari.

On this occasion, Bukhari had expressed his gratitude to Aleem Khan. "I will fulfill your [Aleem Khan's] expectations.

Prominent among those who attended was IPP Punjab chapter president Rana Nazir Ahmed.

Few days back, Aleem Khan and Belarusian Ambassador Andrei Metelitsa discussed the bilateral cooperation and trade opportunities.

According to the details, Aleem Khan held a meeting with the Belarusian ambassador to discuss potential joint projects in the sectors of communications and transport. Both parties explored mutual interests and bilateral cooperation, with an emphasis on enhancing trade through improved transit routes.

Khan emphasised the potential for increased trade between Pakistan and Belarus, highlighting the importance of developing transit routes through Afghanistan, China, and Central Asia to Eastern Europe.

He noted that a trade corridor and improved road networks would be beneficial for the entire region.

The Belarusian envoy expressed his satisfaction with his stay in Pakistan, praising the local hospitality and the quality of fruits and vegetables. The discussions underscored a shared interest in strengthening ties and advancing joint initiatives to benefit both nations.
