Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) President Abdul Aleem Khan has reaffirmed his resolve to further strengthen the party in Gilgit-Baltistan.
An important meeting of the IPP Central Executive Committee was held under the chairmanship of Abdul Aleem Khan. During the meeting, he praised party leaders and workers running the election campaign in Gilgit-Baltistan and said that IPP had become a recognised name in the region.
IPP to contest LG polls with verve
Abdul Aleem Khan said that the party would take part in the Gilgit-Baltistan local government elections in September with full preparation. He said the party would be organised at grassroots level.
He added that tickets had been issued for 38 out of 45 constituencies in Azad Kashmir, while active committees had been formed for the Azad Kashmir elections. He directed party members to work with full dedication.
The IPP president said that those working hard for the party would gain greater respect and position. He also directed that overseas chapters of the party should be made active and party offices in northern and southern Punjab, Gilgit and Azad Kashmir should be made functional immediately.
He said the digital membership system of the party in Azad Jammu and Kashmir should be simplified and membership cards should be issued to all members.
The meeting strongly condemned recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan and expressed solidarity with the security forces. A Fateha was also offered for the elevation of the ranks of those who lost their lives in Balochistan.
President IPP Abdul Aleem Khan said that he wanted to make IPP a party for everyone and called on members to take ownership and move forward.
The meeting was attended by Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, Awn Chaudhry, Mian Khalid Mahmood, Rana Nazir Ahmed Khan, Gul Asghar Khan Bhugor, Mahmood Haroon Gul, Shoaib Siddiqui, Chaudhry Zaheeruddin, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Sarah Ahmed and Sameera Liaquat.
Makhdoom Tariq Mahmood, Haroon Gul, Malik Zaman Naseeb and Wajid Gujjar also attended the meeting.
