Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi welcomed Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Aminul Islam during a meeting at the PCB headquarters in Lahore.
The meeting was also attended by PSL CEO Salman Naseer and Advisor to the Chairman Amir Mir. Aminul Islam thanked Pakistan for its continued support.
Meanwhile, International Cricket Council (ICC) Deputy Chairman Imran Khawaja has arrived in Pakistan, with discussions expected regarding the ongoing T20 World Cup controversy. At Lahore Airport, PCB Advisor Aamer Mir received Imran Khawaja, while BCB President Aminul Islam was welcomed by PSL CEO Salman Naseer.
During his visit, Imran Khawaja is scheduled to meet PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to discuss the situation arising after Pakistan announced a boycott of its scheduled match against India in the World Cup.
The high-stakes match between Pakistan and India is currently scheduled for February 15, but the Pakistan government has declared its intention to boycott the game, heightening tensions in the cricketing world.
