China has reiterated its firm support for Pakistan in the fight against terrorism, as Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zedong held an important meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to discuss the security situation and recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan.
The meeting underscored the unbreakable Pak-China friendship and a shared resolve to counter terrorism through coordinated action.
Ambassador Zedong strongly condemned the terrorist attacks targeting citizens and security forces in Balochistan. He expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the affected families and conveyed complete solidarity with the victims in their hour of grief, reiterating that China condemns all forms of terrorism.
China stands with Pakistan
The Chinese ambassador said China stands firmly with Pakistan in its fight against terrorism and appreciated the measures taken by Pakistani authorities for the protection of Chinese citizens. He thanked Pakistan for prioritizing the safety of Chinese nationals and projects amid challenging security conditions.

The meeting in Islamabad was attended by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, the interior secretary and special secretary, and senior officials of the Chinese Embassy.
Both sides held detailed discussions on counterterrorism, internal security, and broader security cooperation.

Mohsin Naqvi said terrorism in Balochistan was carried out under a well-organized and premeditated plan.
He briefed the Chinese ambassador on the timely and effective response of Pakistan’s security forces, which prevented further damage and ensured protection of vital interests.
Safety of Chinese citizens top priority
Naqvi emphasized that the safety of Chinese citizens and Chinese-funded projects is extremely dear to Pakistan. He said providing all possible security to Chinese nationals is the top priority, adding that the enemy cannot harm Pak-China friendship under any circumstances.
The minister said a Special Protection Unit is being formed specifically for the security of Chinese citizens. He added that modern Chinese technology and equipment will be highly beneficial in strengthening Pakistan’s counterterrorism operations.
Intelligence and cybercrime cooperation
During the meeting, both sides agreed to increase cooperation in intelligence sharing and the fight against cybercrimes.
The discussion concluded with a reaffirmation of close coordination between Pakistan and China to enhance internal security and counter evolving terrorist threats.
