MPA Ali Madad Jatak has been appointed as the new home minister of Balochistan, marking an important change in the provincial cabinet.
According to official sources, Ali Madad Jatak has been given the Balochistan home minister portfolio. The appointment brings an end to a two-year period during which the key ministry remained with the chief minister of the province.
Ali Madad Jatak took oath as the home minister in Quetta. Balochistan Governor Jafar Mandokhel administered the oath to the newly appointed home minister.
The oath ceremony was also attended by Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, as well as provincial ministers, members of the assembly, secretaries and other officials.
Portfolio held by CM for two years
Officials confirmed that the provincial home minister’s portfolio had remained with the chief minister of Balochistan for the past two years. The transfer of the ministry is expected to bring renewed focus to internal security and law and order matters in the province.
As home minister, Jatak will be responsible for overseeing internal security, policing and law and order across Balochistan. His appointment comes at a time when the province faces ongoing security and administrative challenges.
