Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday credited Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for playing a key role in resolving national challenges and stabilizing Pakistan’s economy, saying many issues would not have been solved without his support.
Addressing a gathering, Shehbaz Sharif said the support of Asim Munir, Field Marshal and Chief of Army Staff, had been instrumental in addressing multiple national problems.
The prime minister said generations would remember how challenges were overcome with unity and strong coordination at the state level.
Key economic indicators
Highlighting recent economic gains, the prime minister said Pakistan’s economy has now stabilized. He noted that inflation has come down to single digits, the policy rate has been reduced, and foreign exchange reserves have increased.
According to Shehbaz Sharif, these improvements have created space for the country to now move decisively towards long-term development.
The PM emphasized that after achieving economic stabilization, the next priority is sustained growth. He said the government is committed to policies that promote development, strengthen exports, and enhance Pakistan’s standing in the global economy.
He added that Pakistan’s prestige at the international level has increased due to improved economic indicators and stability.
Blue passports for exporters
In a major announcement aimed at encouraging exports, Shehbaz Sharif said blue passports will be issued to award-winning exporters. He described the move as a recognition of the exporters’ contribution to the national economy.
The prime minister said incentives for exporters are essential to boost trade and accelerate economic growth.
He also made strong remarks about India, saying generations would remember how Pakistan defeated India diplomatically and strategically. He added that Pakistan’s improved global standing reflects the success of its national policies.
Shehbaz warned that if current partnerships and policies continue, India would face prolonged periods of depression, while Pakistan moves forward on the path of progress.
