The United Arab Emirates has categorically denied reports circulating about a visa ban on Pakistani citizens.
Speaking to the media, the UAE ambassador stated that the UAE has not imposed any new visa ban and that such claims are false and misleading.
The clarification comes after speculation arose regarding entry restrictions for Pakistanis.

Moreover, the Foreign Office maintained that Pakistan’s ambassador to the UAE Shafqat Ali Khan had also rejected the reports, confirming that no such ban exists. The spokesman quoted the ambassador as having emphasized that Pakistani citizens continue to receive visas as per normal procedures.

The Foreign Office spokesperson added that the confusion may have stemmed from old records presented in a standing committee briefing, leading to misinterpretations.
No new legislation or policy changes
According to the Foreign Office, the UAE has not enacted any new laws affecting visa issuance for Pakistani nationals. Officials reiterated that bilateral relations and travel procedures remain unchanged.

On Thursday, the UAE also unveiled significant visa facilitation measures for Pakistani nationals. These measures include online visa processing and e-visas without passport stamping. Moreover, it was revealed that the UAE processes nearly 500 applications daily for Pakistani nationals.
The reforms were highlighted during a meeting between UAE Ambassador Salem M Salem AlBawab Al Zaabi and Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb at the Finance Division on Thursday.
